Menu!

Sometimes even the best laid plans get blown all to smithereens. Like last week's menu. The only thing we can do when that happens is pick up the pieces and start over.

A. leaves town again this week. He'll be gone from this Wednesday until next Friday. Ten days.

Also, this Friday evening there is a function at school so K. and I are going to have to do something of a "quick" meal. I periodically pick up frozen Lean Cuisine meals and pot pies when they're on sale to keep in the freezer for such nights. It's supposed to help eliminate the fast food/take out stuff, and most of the time it works. I'm not sure why it's not been working this past week. I'll have to fix that.

Sunday: lunch: ground beef patties, baked potatoes
                dinner: Burger King/Chinese
Monday: breaded cod, mixed veggies, baked potatoes
Tuesday: pasta, salad, garlic bread
*Wednesday: salmon/tilapia, rice, green peas Boca chicken/beef patties, macaroni and cheese, green peas watermelon (and I had a pear)
Thursday: Boca chicken/beef patties, macaroni and cheese, green peas salmon/tilapia, rice, green peas salad
Friday: frozen meals McDonald's
Saturday: lunch: leftovers/sandwiches/soup
dinner: homemade pizza Boca chicken patties, baked potatoes

Sounds like a good week. I always hate being solo when my hubs travels. We do eat differently without him.

Prayers for your week.

Often times the best laid plans get blown out of the water. I feel that is more the rule than the exception sometimes!

Your menu looks great. Enjoy it!

Isn't it strange how differently we do things when our other half is missing? Have a great week. I hope the 10 days fly by until he's home with you again.

I had that kind of week last week--to the point where I had to redo the whole rest of the month's menu! LOL!

It all looks good! I hate cooking when my hubby isn't home - and that's every 3rd day! (He's a FF and works 24 hr. shifts every 3rd day.) The kids and I usually eat sandwiches or frozen pizza, or something super easy to fix. Kudos to you for still having healthy and yummy food on the menu when he's not home!

I think we all have weeks when our menus get left behind. Your menu looks great.

I love Cod. It reminds me of my days of living in Maine.
You have a terrific menu planned. Enjoy your week.
